CW 17 is coming to film us!
We are officially filming another commercial to film on CW17. We will be shooting Tuesday at 5 p.m. and we would love to have some extras!! If you're interested in being an "extra" (for the students in belly dance class and in Zumba shot) contact me!
Also, I took our very own Zumba class yesterday and it was awesome! We will now have zumba classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30-8:30 as well as at lunchtime (date and time tbd and announced later). Class is only $5!!! so make sure you come in and burn some holiday calories! Our amazing teacher, Natalia, will make sure to get you in shape!
In other news, bundle up because it is chilly and everyone is getting sick! Wearing all these extra layers feels great, and makes me miss New York :(. Also, I would like to congratulate Jose DeGracia on his promotion!! In the navy only 9 months and already an AE3!!! (for those of you who don't know what that means-like me- it just means he has a higher rank which usually takes a few years to achieve) So proud of you!!!
I wanted to embarrass my student Muzik a little more because she did such an amazing job on her first ever solo performance! I am so proud of you!
Hipfinity girls- I am so proud of you girls, you did a great job and had an astounding performance. Everyone loved your show. I cant wait to see more from you girls!
I also want to think Island Tribe, Madam Xena & House of Naked Moon, Laylo, Alexandra, and my Princess girls (Nancy L, Nancy G, and Kristyna)
and ofcourse our Hosts- Dj Chino and Amali
Next Hafla is January 30th and I hear all of the other groups are already planning to perform ;) I am excited to know that people are taking these performances seriously and preparing so far ahead of time! I am usually very last minute person, but I am loving the preparation that is creating all these amazing performances.
Also, GRAND OPENING will be Saturday, January 15th. Please come out and support us! Throughout that whole week we will be having sales on all of our classes.
Anyway, off to the dentist I go. I must get these teeth cleaned and later all my wisdom teeth pulled. AHHH!

1st blog entry.
Hello my fellow Belly Dancers and Admirers of the Art form!
I am starting a blog to allow everyone easier access to our studio and our lives! Well, not really our lives, but this way you can stay updated with all of the happenings and be "in the loop". It has been a month since we opened the new Studio and we are BEYOND excited about what is to come in the future! We have planned many events, parties, haflas, photo shoots, video shoots, sales, specials, and surprises for the city of Jacksonville. If they did not know what belly dancing was before, they will now!!!!
Of course that is the goal of the studio, to popularize belly dance and bring awareness to the community about this amazing secret that not only helps you "stay in shape" (and any other cliches or stereotypes the media has come up with), but also helps you become empower and more confident than ever before!
So stay tuned for all of the great events and amazing happenings!!
